Proxy server support in WebdavResource

Although there is proxy server support in HttpClient, there doesn't seem to
be a way to use this from WebdavResource (eg. getSessionInstance in
WebdavSession is not using this support). Is there a chance that proxy
servers will be supported soon, or is the option to use HttpClient directly
without WebdavResource ?? 

I know there are a lot of proxy servers that don't support DAV methods, but
some just pass them through and they are often required to communicate with
the outside world (eg. outside an Intranet).
