Struts for Dummies

To my amusement, I stumbled across this
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0764559575 today. I guess
Struts is now firmly established in the mainstream ;-)

Doh! I requested the changes for user@ and dev@, but I did not request
archives for announcements@. (Note the name - I followed the Jakarta name,
which is also what the XML folks use, although several others projects seem
to use announce@ instead.) I can do that this evening (PDT), if nobody beats
me to it. If someone does beat me to it, please let me know so that I don't
make duplicate requests.

Not surprisingly, Eyebrowse knows about the list already, so it's
mail-archive, marc and gmane that need registration.

We could add this to the Struts Resources list on SourceForge. [It's on my
list, but so are a lot of things :)]

We also need to add the Struts Survival Guide. ("My developer launched a
Struts application and all I got was this lousy T-shirt.")

It might also be nice if we cranked up the Announcement list for stuff like
this :)

Hey -- did anyone register announce@struts.apache.org with the usual
suspects for archiving?

Sounds great!!

Please add all the books from the sf site, I added one a while back, but it
didn't make the "19 books" thread: Struts Complete Reference by James
Holmes.

Thanks

I'll split it with you. I'll update the Wiki, and you can point the SF
site to it? I'll add a new StrutsBooks page.

I count 19 books about Struts or with Struts in the title:

1.	Jakarta Struts Pocket Reference
2.	Programming Jakarta Struts
3.	Professional Jakarta Struts
4.	Struts Survival Guide: Basics to Best Practices
5.	Struts In Action
6.	Professional Jakarta Struts
7.	Struts Kick Start
8.	Mastering Jakarta Struts
9.	Jakarta Pitfalls : Time-Saving Solutions for Struts, Ant, JUnit, and
Cactus (Java Open Source Library)
10.	Struts: The complete reference
11.	Jakarta Struts for Dummies
12.	Professional Struts Applications:
13.	The Struts Framework: Practical Guide for Java Programmers
14.	Pro Jakarta Struts, Second Edition
15.	Struts Recipes
16.	Beginning Jsp 2.0: Build Web Applications Using Jsp, Java, And
Struts
17.	Art of Java Web Development: Struts, Tapestry, Commons, Velocity,
JUnit, Axis, Cocoon, InternetBeans, WebWork
18.	Struts Fast Track: J2EE/JSP Framework: Practical Application with
Database Access and Struts Extension
19.	Struts

I dread to think how many other books have Struts coverage. :-)

If I can figure out how to update the SF site, I'll update the list this
weekend.
