Why all the hassle with Spark1 now? Just introduce SPARK2 and leave the original spark along. We are breaking all sorts of builds with the component which is clearly not ready for prime time and not even supported by a lot of other systems. 

By doing this we are putting our own release into the jeopardy of the Spark. Why?
