Ah, that's something I should be able to take care of. A couple of
months ago I asked the Incubator if we should create an incubator blog
where podlings could post messages. I haven't had the motivation to
pursue it yet, but it should not be difficult to do so.

Procedural I suppose you (maybe with the help of other folks here)
refine the message, send it to me and I'll fix the incubator blog and
post it online. I guess the Incubator PMC needs to ensure that the
item is not promoting a business but rather the podling (we've had
some companies [mis]using the Apache brand with podlings in the past)
and perhaps that the proper disclaimer is in place (but I'm not sure
about that)

Hi Martijn,

thanks for the feedback, sounds good. We should do that. But I also thought of
the question of what has to be done *technically* to post to the incubator blog which
you mentioned... I didn't even find an incubator blog, only http://blogs.apache.org/
But this site does not accept my ASF user/pw.

Cheers,
Holger

I think targeting a wider audience than those that already know etch.
Don't assume your reader knows Etch or takes the liberty of going to
the site and read up about it (most folks are lazy). I'd at least
start with 3-4 paragraphs about etch and where/when to use it
(mentioning the existing bindings). Then go into the go binding with a
full example: a bit more explanation should be sufficient I think. End
with why you think the go binding is a great step forward ("go is the
future of all languages and using etch with go has proven to be a
great combination...")

Hi Martijn,

I had the same thoughts. I have written a post to the Go Mailing list, but nothing more at the moment:
http://groups.google.com/group/golang-nuts/browse_thread/thread/ea801c4d4346bd63

We could take this post and make a blog post out of it. What has to be done for this?

Regards,
Holger

This sounds like a great opportunity to market etch to a larger
audience. Anyone care to write a short blog/article? This is great
stuff for the incubator blog.
