[jira] Resolved: (JS2-369) Validate caching behavior in the Portal Site Component

Randy Watler resolved JS2-369:
------------------------------

    Resolution: Fixed

The PortalSite component does not cache a complete copy of the physical site in the session, only proxies of the folders, pages, and links that have been visited by the user or referenced by a menu option. This implies that profiling and subsite folders are not traversed by the PortalSite component. Consequently, the extent of folders like "/_user", "/_role", or "_group" are not cached per session. A session will only cache proxies for the profiling folders associated with the session user, the user's roles, and the user's groups.

> Validate caching behavior of Portal Site Component PSML pages/folders. The concern is that large numbers of PSML elements, especially user folders, would make caching too costly and severely limit scalability. Perhaps an additional configuration option could also be added to defeat/limit caching of the view and/or menu definitions would be desirable if caching is not already minimal.
