I’ve been getting the same Java message ever since I upgraded to Yosemite, before I ever had OO.

Don’t know why and cannot Figure how to get rid of it. I don’t think it’s an OO problem.

When I delete the alert, it just pops back after a few minutes whether I’m on the web or not.

You guess is wrong. This is a Mac specific problem. See my other post.

Why dont you just re-install Java from scratch?

My guess something in Java Update system is not being installed.
