The reason for the slow creation of the first TimeSeries is that the StorageGroup needs to do some preparatory work when it receives the first write request. However, it shouldn't take 8s to create the first TimeSeries. I set the schema_replication_factor and data_replication_factor to 1, then start a ConfigNode and a DataNode in my own computer. Finally, I set a StorageGroup and create a TimeSeries. The whole process didn't take more than 1s. Therefor, I wonder what configuration you've set that eventually cause this case. Could you pelease test again and add more details about this scenario?
