[jira] Created: (HARMONY-6568) Rough code structure for jdb
Rough code structure for jdb
----------------------------
Key: HARMONY-6568
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HARMONY-6568
Project: Harmony
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: JDK
Environment: windows and linux
Reporter: Daniel Gong
I've written rough jdb code structure to demonstrate my idea for the design of jdb.
I want to attach it here to ask for some suggestions then I can make it better in the early stage.
The basic idea is use enumeration to define commands and then implement multi-way selection with polymorphism.

Mark Hindess commented on HARMONY-6568:
---------------------------------------
You don't need the launcher. Please create a patch against the federated build that updates the jdktools tree to include the new tool. The patch will need to:
1) create jdktools/modules/jdktools/src/main/java/org/apache/harmony/tools/jdb/Main.java
2) Add a copy task to jdktools/modules/samsa/build.xml to copy the generic samsa.exe to jdb.exe.
See the implementation of the other jdk tools for examples of the changes required.
