redelivery count & delay?
Hi,
I'm trying to find out if there is a mechanism in qpid to set the maximum
number of times that a retry should happen and also the time delay that
should be introduced between retries. Also is there a Dead Letter Queue?
I'm using the java broker/java client and I'm having quite some trouble
finding something where I can set these.
Also, I saw that the C++ broker has some method called setRetry() in the
connection object. Is this compatible with a java client?

Ah, I was led astray by the 'Fixed' resolution!

That feature never made it to trunk and so isnt available in the Java
broker either currently. The functionality has come up very recently
in a different scenario though, so something similar-but-different
probably will make it in future.

Not in the c++ broker. It looks like there might be a way to do the
first part in the java broker however, based on
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/QPID-2970. I haven't tried that
myself however.

The retry there means something different - its the number of times to
try and reconnect.

I assume by retry here you mean attempts by the broker to deliver a
message to a subscriber?

Where did you see that exactly? The only setRetry() method on C++ that I
can see is on QMF client connections, not in the messaging APIs and not
on the broker.
