struts and tomcat 4.0.1

I have been using resin for all my struts work to date (that is what my 
company uses).  For personal use I started messing around with tomcat 
4.0.1.  Should struts 1.0 work with this release?

The struts-templates example comes up blank after displaying once.

The struts-example and struts-documentation seem ok.

Just wondering...
