RSS download file names too long

Hello,
I'm trying to download a Google news RSS periodically.
I'm having a problem: the produced output file names are too long, so
Manifold gets some errors and the produced files are corrupted.
How can I repair this?

Thanks
Andrea

Hi Andrea,

The file system output connector is designed to be compatible with the unix
utility WGet. WGet has a specific mapping to file names. It is not
necessarily compatible with Windows in any real way.

Thanks,
Karl

Hi Karl,
the job is configured with an RSS input source (with this URL:
https://news.google.com/news?cf=all&hl=en&ned=us&topic=b&output=rss) and a
file system output connector (Windows system).
All the other configurations have been left at the default values for now.

Thanks
Andrea

Hi Andrea,

Can you be more specific? Which file names are too long? Are you writing
files to disk using an output connector?

Thanks,
Karl
