tweaking cache & component pools

Hi all,

tweaking the cache and components pool sizes might help to speed up 
things w.r.t. CLI generation. If anyone can point me to some relevant 
pointers, I'd be happy to take a look at those - but I'm pretty clueless 
right now.

Any ideas?
