[jira] [Comment Edited] (QPID-7352) [Java Broker] Principal serialisation

Lorenz Quack edited comment on QPID-7352 at 10/26/16 3:39 PM:
--------------------------------------------------------------

The parsing Pattern in GenericPrincipal is too strict.
For the AuthenticationProviderType it only allows \w*
\w only contains \[a-zA-Z_0-9\]. Namely it does not contain the dash/hyphen \(-) character which does appear in AuthenticationProviderTypes like SCRAM-SHA-1

> Implement a Jackson serialiser for Principals and add a corresponding {{AttributeValueConverter}} that takes the serialised form any produces Generic Principals. The serialised form is to include the reference to the AuthenticationProvider (name and type). Group Providers need the corresponding change.
> Update the preference store and preference store recoverer to store the principal's serialised form for {{owner}} and {{visibilityList}}, and recover generic principal objects.
