[PR] [improve][doc] Warn about /tmp cleanup in narExtractionDirectory docs [pulsar]
lhotari opened a new pull request, #27011:
URL: https://github.com/apache/pulsar/pull/27011
Main Issue: #23736
### Motivation
Pulsar extracts NAR packages (tiered storage offloaders, connectors, protocol handlers and other plugins) to `java.io.tmpdir` by default and loads classes from the extracted files while the process runs. Outside of Kubernetes, OS services such as `systemd-tmpfiles` periodically delete files in `/tmp` that haven't been accessed recently. If they delete extracted files of a running broker, proxy or functions worker, the process fails with `ClassNotFoundException` or `NoClassDefFoundError` errors until it is restarted. #23736 reports this for the tiered storage offloader.
`narExtractionDirectory` already lets operators choose another directory, but its documentation doesn't mention this problem.
Changing the default directory was considered and rejected. A persistent default would break installations where only `/tmp` is writable. Pulsar also never removes extracted files of earlier NAR versions, so the directory would grow without bound. Documentation is the safer fix.
### Modifications
- Document the `/tmp` cleanup problem and the recommendation to use a dedicated directory in the `narExtractionDirectory` description in `conf/broker.conf`, `conf/standalone.conf`, `ServiceConfiguration`, `ProxyConfiguration` and `WorkerConfig`. The `@FieldContext` docs feed the generated configuration reference.
- Correct the existing descriptions in these classes. The broker setting applies to all NAR packages, not only offloaders, and the functions worker description had a typo.
### Verifying this change
- [ ] Make sure that the change passes the CI checks.
This change is a trivial rework / code cleanup without any test coverage.
