Manipulating a svg file with java2D

Hi, I'm quite new to Batik and would like to do the following:

1- I want to open an already created SVG file.
2- Have it displayed on the screen.
3- Be able to manipulate (rotate, scale, translate) it using the JAVA2D API
like any other graphical file format.

Can someone please provide me with some piece of code since I'm not very
familiar with the Batik API.

Thank you.

Simon Trudeau
