Fully-Qualified Host Name?

I am getting a bounce from a remote server:

Remote mail server told me: 504 <server198>: Helo command rejected: need
fully-qualified hostname.

I understand the message. What I can't figure out is where the "server198"
is coming from and how to fix it.

"Server198" is the internal name assigned to my box by my co-lo service.
But I run a DNS, and my IP address reverse lookup gives my true
domain/server name. Server198 appears nowhere in my config.xml file. Where
is James extracting it from? How do I force James to send my real domain
name?
