xalan c -> debug

does anyone know some concrete thing which is needed
to be added to run the debug version of the parser
Example
1)to copy the DomStringImpl.hpp file into the dom
folder
2)to add #define XML_DEBUG
3)s.th. else?
because i got some pure virtual function called
message only in debug..
