[jira] [Commented] (LOG4J2-1263) log4j2.properties: monitorInterval has not effect

Ralph Goers commented on LOG4J2-1263:
-------------------------------------

It looks like PropertiesConfigurationFactory is not setting the ConfigurationSource so reconfiguration is ignored. I will have to create a unit test to verify the failure. Once I have that the fix should be simple.

> "Properties configuration files support the advertiser, monitorInterval, name, packages, shutdownHook, status, and verbose attrbutes." source: https://logging.apache.org/log4j/2.x/manual/configuration.html#Properties
> But adding "monitorInterval=5" to log4j2.properties seems to have no effect. Changes to log4j2.properties do not change the configuration.
> If I use log4j2.xml everything works fine.
