Everything beyond 1.7.1 from ibiblio does no longer work on JDK
1.3.1. So if there is no compelling reason to upgrade to 1.8.x
(e.g. new features), I wouldn't do it.

	Best regards

Gump to me seems like a good reason! If we don't care about Gump,
then we should remove this project from Gump and document that it
won't build until 1.8.01. If we want to keep the 1.8.01 version,
then maybe we can go ahead and do a release of the older version with
1.7.1 support, and document that is the last 1.3.1 supported version,
and that the trunk is only 1.8.01 + jdk > 1.3.1

Upgrade to HSQLDB 1.8.0.1 - WAS Re: svn commit: r312641 -

Posted by Siegfried Goeschl <si...@it20one.at>.
Hi Henning,

well - I did miss the JDK 1.3.1 point completely.

There were only two reasons to upgrade to 1.8.0.1

+) GUMP nag emails due to broken builds
+) HSQLDB 1.8.0.1 is now bundled with OpenOffice 2.0 and will be the
de-facto version to be used

Unfortunately the 1.8.0.1 is not backward compatible and broke the old
plugin.

Having said that I have no compelling reason to stick to 1.8.01 ... :-)

Cheers,

Siegfried Goeschl
