Is Weinre still being maintained? This issue hasn't been looked at in years, and the dev tools are now very dated. If you do plan to update, will you use webkit or chromium dev tools? Is there any way you could make it easy for uses to download the latest dev-tools and update them themselves, the way [ios-webkit-debug-proxy|https://github.com/google/ios-webkit-debug-proxy] does?
