response header cachecontrol no-store not working with apache over ssl and ie browsers

Hi

i am using apache 1.3.23 as a proxy server.
my requirement is that over ssl , gif files served by the web server should
not be stored on the users pc.

response header cachecontrol set to no-store is not working over ssl on
apache with the internet explorer browsers.
ie the gif file gets stored to the users pc.

But it is working over http.
Also it is working both over http/https with the netscape browsers

Also this is working both on http or https over other web servers like
weblogic.

my problem is that i cant use pragma no-cache because this causes some other
problem.

Please can you help me out by suggessting any solution/workarounds for ssl
on ie browsers.

thanks

PHP and Apache Virtual Hosting

Posted by Barrie Robinson <ba...@emotus.com>.
I've installed PHP without a hitch. Tested it and it works fine, even on
Virtual Hosts - until I tried to access some PHP3 i.e. A file named
index.php3. It then just showed me a page of mess. I'm sure this is
something simple, however I am new to this so it's not so simple for me.

Can anybody advise at all?

Thank you

Barrie
