[jira] Created: (TAP5-1399) Replace base class behavior for fields with meta-programming via annotations

Replace base class behavior for fields with meta-programming via annotations
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: TAP5-1399
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TAP5-1399
             Project: Tapestry 5
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: tapestry-core
    Affects Versions: 5.3.0
            Reporter: Howard M. Lewis Ship
            Priority: Minor

Not quite sure what this would look like, but it would be very cool if there was a more meta-programming way to build new types of form control components (TextField and friends) that was based on annotations and not on knowing how to subclass the existing tree of implementations.
