DO NOT REPLY [Bug 50595] New: External Image task is no longer
available - documentation out of date
https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=50595
Summary: External Image task is no longer available -
documentation out of date
Product: Ant
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Documentation
AssignedTo: notifications@ant.apache.org
ReportedBy: shannon.haworth@gmail.com
The page: http://ant.apache.org/external.html has a link to an "Image" task.
However all links return with 404 errors. The contact field for this task is
http://www.mullassery.com/ which also returns a 404 error.
It appears that this task is no longer available. I suppose the 404 error
could be transient, due to a data loss. However, I suspect the author has
abandoned this project. A search of related bugs turns up the following, which
seems to support my suspicions.
https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=23829#c1
I recommend that the Images section be removed from the external tools section
of the documentation.
