mtom speed

hello users,

i am running a axis2 (1.3) server inside tomcat6.
when i send and receive files using mtom via a C#
client i noticed that sending files to the server
needs up to 4 times longer than receiving files from
the server.

question 1, does anyone of you noticed this behavior
between axis2 server and client?

question 2, what can i do on serverside to improve speed ?
maybe other parameters for the jvm ?

i have caching enabled through server config file.

any statements of experiences with mtom and time
tracking are welcome.
