I feel your pain, as I am scared of clearcase myself. However, I'm not sure what
is going on here, or what we can do about it. Every so often CC likes to remind
the users that it is not a real filesystem. 

Posting the relevant build.xml may help, but I'm not sure what we can do other
than document this quirk. Assuming it is a <move> operation, what happens if you
do <copy> and <delete> instead? What about if you reboot?
