Glue spacing object 1

Can somebody tell me with other words what means "Glue spacing object 1"

 From its location this string belongs to the dialog, where you can set 
the properties of a connector. "object 1" would be the start object and 
"Glue" is a glue point. So it would be something like the distance 
between the glue point of the object and the connector. But I do not 
find any use of the string. So I think the associated dialog control was 
removed but the string was forgotten.

Hi,
Maybe something like "Glue an object that will create spacing between 
something"
In Portuguese it would be "Colar objecto de espaçamento 1". But Spanish, 
French and Italian translations are quite different from this.
