Test stopping on the occurrence of an error in Assertion Listener
Hi All,
I am noticing that under load, sometimes my application
is returning an html response to the first request(whose status code is
not any http error code) but the response is differing slightly from the
response that is expected. We would like to get to the bottom of that
problem. So as a first step I just added a Size Assertion(I know the size
of the correct response in bytes) to the first request in Jmeter and also
added an Assertion Results Listener at the thread group level.I have also
configured my test to stop at the first occurrence of any error. Earlier
since the response to the first request wasn't having any http error code
the test wasn't stopping . Now after doing the aforementioned change I
want to know if Assertion fails , the test will stop or not ?

Subhrajyoti,
I think that you will find that you can set this behaviour at the Thread
Group level. If you set the thread group to 'Stop Test' on sampler error,
then if an assertion fails - this is considered to be a sampler error and
the whole test will stop.
Cheers
