validating a bit of the tree

I'm just bringing up our public repository of smartfrog artifacts,
with pom files created at build time (including dynamic comment
population)

Before I start worrying about getting the rsync set up, is there
anything I can point at the tree to have the poms and jars audited?
After all, this is exactly the kind of thing that staging sites are
for.
