Packaging Xindice fro Debian GNU/Linux

Hi all,
I would like to know if anyone of you has already started packaging
Xindice for Debian GNU/Linux (.deb packages of course). If not, I would
like to know if I am allowed to proceed to this effort in order to
promote the spread of this useful tools.
Please let me know when and if I can start to work.

Thank you in advance
Regards

SteX

I don't know about debian (I'm not using it), but if you want you can do
packaging, preferrably Xindice 1.1

PS And change year to 2004 ;-)
