accessing data in hdfs by solr in standalone mode

Hi
   can solr access the data from HDFS in standalone mode? If so, can u brief 
how it is done.

This should just be using the HDFS directory in solrconfig.xml
just like SolrCloud. There's nothing that I know of that would
prevent that.
