as first step we should update Maven and resolver version in project dependencies, now we have:
```
<mavenVersion>3.6.3</mavenVersion>
<resolverVersion>1.4.1</resolverVersion>
```
as it is provided we cen use the latest

No rush for this. I have marked this as 3.6.0.M2 as I would prefer finish this one first https://github.com/apache/maven-surefire/pull/3179 (which is mostly finished ;) )

it use old version of `AbstractMojoTestCase`
```java
public class SurefireReportTest extends AbstractMojoTestCase {

}
```
