Trouble with installation
Hi,
I'm trying to install JMeter on my Ubuntu machine with
java version "1.5.0"
JamVM version 1.5.1
First after running jmeter I got
Unrecognised command line option: -server
After commenting out all the unrecognized options now I get the following error:
Couldn't find Main-Class attribute in /home/nemo/jakarta-jmeter-2.3.4/bin/ApacheJMeter.jar Manifest.
Any idea what could be the reason?
Thanks in advance!
Babak

JMeter 2.3.4 only needs Java 1.4, so it should have worked with Java5.
It certainly does so on many OSes, so there must have been a problem
with the Java5 installation.

Think, you got an empty response, i would try the listener "View Result
Tree" to inspect the response (Sample Result -> Tab Response Data, show
Text) and an url like www.google.de

That's because the response does not have an associated mime type.

That does not apply here.

If you know the type is xml, just rename the file.

RE: Save Responses to a file

Thanks,
now the file is saved but without any content and with the suffix unknown (e.g. loadTest1.unknown).
I've configured jmeter.properties to have xml output: jmeter.save.saveservice.output_format=xml
But with no success!

Re: Save Responses to a file
Posted by Karl Hoffmann <k....@ogvit.de>.
hi,
write your path to the form "Filename Prefix" in the GUI,
example
c:\dev\testhallo
in the directory c:\dev you find some docs (pdf)
testhallo1.pdf
testhallo2.pdf
testhallo3.pdf
and s.o.
regards
karl

RE: Trouble with installation
Posted by Babak Shafian <ba...@hotmail.com>.
Ok now I solved my problem I had to install sun-java5-jdk paket :-)
Now I can start the jmeter but just get a blank page as a GUI. It means without any fields and whatsoever ...
Any idea?
Thanks in advance
