Repost of IllegalFacetValueException Error -- Help Requested

All,

I posted this problem a couple of days ago and do not recall seeing a
response. Does anyone have an idea how to get around this problem? It
seems the default values being used for minInclusive and maxInclusive are
too large. Is there a way I can specify a min/max value to the parser so
that the default is not used? Is there something in the DTD I can specify?

Thanks,
Michael

Subject:	IllegalFacetValueException

Hello,

I am new to the list, and I hope this is the correct place to post a
question such as this. Please let me know if this question is not
appropriate for this mailing list.
I downloaded the DOMCount sample included in both Xerces 1.1.0 and Xerces
1.1.3. I have run it successfully on NT using JDK 1.2.2 (from Sun) and JDK
1.1.6 (from Borland). However, when I run it on UNIX using JDK 1.1.7, it
works, but I get the stack trace included below. I am running DOMCount with
the personal.xml sample data that ships with Xerces.
Note that the example works and I get the desired output-it's just that the
stack trace is also displayed. Thus, the exception must be caught somewhere
and ignored (except for the stack trace output).
If it helps, I have used different examples. When I use a simpler DTD with
no ATTLIST tag, the problem goes away (no stack trace is present). Thus,
the problem somehow is tied to the ATTLIST tag.
Any ideas how to get around this problem?
Thanks,
Michael
