Marko Rajkovic created LEGAL-600:
------------------------------------

Summary: Grant of Patent License in Apache 2.0 license for Derivative Works
                 Key: LEGAL-600
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-600
             Project: Legal Discuss
          Issue Type: Question
            Reporter: Marko Rajkovic

Under 3. section (Grant of Patent License) it is stated "{_}... each Contributor hereby grants to You a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable (except as stated in this section) patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the Work, where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable by such Contributor that are necessarily infringed by their Contribution(s) alone or by combination of their Contribution(s) with the Work to which such Contribution(s) was{_} {_}submitted....{_}" Does that mean the Patent License is also granted for {*}_Derivative Works_{*}, i.e. does the patent license still apply when {*}the Work is modified{*}?
