Sending HTML mails with another encoding or charset
Hi,
we are using SMTPAppender with a HTML Layout to send well structured
error messages to application admins. In generall this works fine but
sometimes the received mails aren't as we expect. The HTML Message is
attached instead of beeing included in the mail. We think this might be
some kind of encoding or charset problem but don't find any way to
inlfuence it.
log4j conf:
log4j.appender.A4=org.apache.log4j.net.SMTPAppender
log4j.appender.A4.Threshold=ERROR
log4j.appender.A4.SMTPHost=our.smtp.host
log4j.appender.A4.From=applicationFOO@foo.bar
log4j.appender.A4.To=admin@foo.bar
log4j.appender.A4.Subject=Message from applicationFOO
log4j.appender.A4.layout=org.apache.log4j.HTMLLayout
log4j.appender.A4.layout.Title=applicationFOO Logging
Does anybody know why we get this problem?
Thanks
Thimo
