I believe the code freeze is over when Carsten does the formal build of
2.1.6.

I find it hard to believe there won't be a 2.1.7.  We will be going into
production with 2.1.6 and I know I will be adding stuff after that to the
2.1 branch.

Do we have a checklist for things that need to be done before 2.2.0?

Or we reschedule :)

Yes, sure, I guess we all will do that - in my opinion there
will definitly a 2.1.7 and 2.1.8. We might continue maintenance
releases even when 2.2 is out.
