Sorry if this sounds uninformed, but what is the CPU tradeoff for all these compressions and how does query speed compare across all of them?  What is the logic behind never looking at that when making memory comparisons?  I skimmed the paper Paul references and saw the main comparisons were really more about query speed and less about memory savings. Thanks.
