            Bug ID: 121959
        Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Open Office Calc doesn't work with DNT IQ Feed, but a
                    previous version did.

            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: major
          Priority: P3
         Component: viewing
          Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org

sample DDE spreadsheet for DTN IQ Feed

Version 3.4.1 doesn't work with Telvent DTN IQ Feed
http://www.iqfeed.net/index.cfm?displayaction=support&section=download

A previous version of OpenOffice 3.2.1 did.

Version 3.4.1 will open the DDE macro and display one update only, but future
updates will not display. It is supposed to update constantly. I turned off
macro security (set to low) and allowed the links to be updated, yet it only
displays one update. It doesn't constantly update like it is supposed to, as it
did in the previous version 3.2.1.

Attached is a sample spreadsheet used for diagnostics, which will automatically
launch the IQ Feed client.

Yes, I'm using Windows 8. No, version 3.2.1 was on XP. Yes, IQ Link 4.9.0.3 is
installed and runs when opening the file. It's not really about the VBA macros.
The problem is with the DDE links. That file just happens to have VBA macros,
which are not even used.

Starting IQ Feed via IQ Link Launcher before opening the XLS file does work,
but it does NOT work when opening the XLS file directly and clicking "Update
links" in the OpenOffice dialog.

It does work in Excel by opening the XLS file directly.

Was your XP 32 bits? Is your Windows 8 64 bits?

You now use Windows 8? And I guess OpenOffice 3.2.1 was not on Windows 8? Is
IQLINK.EXE really installed now?

In addition remember, that for to load VBA macros as executable macros you have
to enable this in Tools > Open > Load/Save.
