[jira] Commented: (TAPESTRY-918) Add Explorer PNG fix for image components

Leonardo Quijano Vincenzi commented on TAPESTRY-918:
----------------------------------------------------

Hmmm this a transparent fix that would hide this kind of problems from end-users. It would be a nice Tapestry "pro" such as "you don't need to do anything with transparent PNGs and Explorer, they actually work out-of-the-box.

> As we all know, Explorer lack of support of PNG images with alpha transparency disallows the use of this excellent format in web applications.
> There are several (JS and CSS based) fixes for this, that vary for the image submits (@ImageSubmit) the CSS background properties (no tapestry component for that) and the normal images (@Image component).
> A unified PNG fix in Tapestry components (that could be optionally turned off) would help a great deal for people to use alpha transparencies in Explorer.
