If you're new to Subversion and source control in general, I'd highly
recommend Mike Mason's Pragmatic  Version control using subversion
(http://www.pragmaticprogrammer.com/titles/svn/)

I've used Visual Sourcesafe, Clearcase, cvs, and subversion before
reading this, so I understood the basic concepts, but he does a good
job of setting up the day-to-day scenarios that you can expect in a
development project and how you can use subversion to deal with your
project's needs.
