[jira] Created: (WW-2012) Freemarker caching of BeanWrapper models

Freemarker caching of BeanWrapper models
----------------------------------------

                 Key: WW-2012
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/struts/browse/WW-2012
             Project: Struts 2
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Configuration
            Reporter: Andrea Vettori
            Priority: Minor

It would be nice to have a configuration option (in struts.properties, for example) to enable freemarker caching of beanwrapper models. It's off by default and in my app helped reducing garbage memory allocation...

Assuming myConfiguration is Freemarker Configuration

((BeansWrapper)myConfiguration.getObjectWrapper()).setUseCache(true)

can be used to enable the cache.
