   Again, an empty description. Please describe why this new feature is needed. Keep in mind that the more we increase the public footprint of the code base, the more we have to maintain, test, Javadoc, and not break in future updates. So, we only want to add features that are in fact the reflection of a real-world use case. Otherwise, there are 40+ predicate methods in Character and I would guess we don't need them all for Codec, but I could be proven wrong ;-)
