question about online user behavior or web site performance analysis

Dear all,

My friend is running some website for small business. He observed that the
overall online traffic increases since last year, however, the transactions
of products decreases for over nine months. We have recorded the user
behavior on the web site such as their ip address, the time they spend on
each web page, etc just like yahoo click trail data. how can we analyze the
user behavior pattern and find out the factors that may cause the sales
decline?

Any suggestion will be deeply appreciated. if need more clarification,
please let me know as well.
