    `Client` should not extend `DriverRemoteConnection`, as in the other GLVs `Client` should contain and manage the lifetime of `DriverRemoteConnection` instances, ie: expose `open()` and `shutdown()` methods that open and close the connections that belong to the `DriverRemoteConnection`.
