test if file is empty

Hi,

I would like to test if one file is empty.
Is-that possible ?

.xlsx files.
yes 0ko for example.
Because a have an error when a read this type.
It's necessary to full this to read it for the moment.

What file type? 

By empty I assume you mean exists but has zero bytes of data?
