A problem about highlight!

Hi , every one! I have a question that the CPU consumption is very
high when I use fast-vector-highlight in the case of concurrency.Is it
means that highlighting is a CPU-intensive operation?
Do you have any suggests or experiences  for the optimization of
highlighting?
