We used to have access via the "Devs." menu to localhost:8888/**.xml and fo and others. Perhaps this was accidently dropped when the Dispatcher menus were added.

At the risk of going mad or still misunderstanding this Issue - I have added in options under the 'Devs.' menu which will View the .xml or .fo of the current page. See r556602.

I think I found the more appropriate diff here.

This shows that nothing has been removed from the ForrestBar at all, rather they were moved into other menus.
So Question now then, are we happy nothing is astray here and Close this issue, or is there something needs doing?

I have looked through SVN.
At http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/forrest/trunk/tools/forrestbar/xpi/chrome/content/forrestbarOverlay.xul?r1=328259&r2=329165&diff_format=h
there is where some features were added to the Devs bar. Later on they were removed from the Devs bar and moved into the dispatcher-dev bar, they are still there. (They were always dispatcher specific)
I'll keep looking but atm can not see where any other features might have been removed.
So what are we asking for , to produce the current page in .fo or .xml , possibly with the option of opening in a new tab/window. (?)
Also, we should not hard code to :8888, but use forrestPort variable instead.
Lastly, we are talking 'normal' Forrest here, not dispatcher related.

Sorry for the confusion. I was sure that there used to be a way to access the intermediate xml for a normal skinned site. Perhaps that was http://forrest.apache.org/howto-dev.html#debug-intermediate but maybe it was not available via the Forrestbar, only directly.
