Unable to build with Maven
Hi,
I have been facing several build errors when doing a maven on source. Will
it be possible to provide a jar in the and war in subversion which can be
easily deployed? I have been trying the build for 3 days and there are
still no hopes. Can anyone tell me what is wrong.
This is the current version of my system:
Apache Maven 3.0.4 (r1232337; 2012-01-17 14:14:56+0530)
Maven home: D:\Ashwini\Softwares\apache-maven-3.0.4-bin\apache-maven-3.0.4
Java version: 1.6.0_11, vendor: Sun Microsystems Inc.
Java home: C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_11\jre
Default locale: en_US, platform encoding: Cp1252
OS name: "windows vista", version: "6.1", arch: "x86", family: "windows"
The most bugging error is java.lang.OutOfMemeory: PermGenSpace. I set my
Maven_Opts as -Xmx512M -XX:MaxPermSize=128M.
What can I do to get a build or is there any other alternative for me to
get a war and jar?

Hi Ashwini,
The build on Windows was broken for some time (see STANBOL-957 [1]),
but since yesterday afternoon UTC the build should be fine again.

This is all ok

As noted in the getting started section of the webpage Stanbol requires
MAVEN_OPTS="-Xmx1024M -XX:MaxPermSize=256M"
with "XX:MaxPermSize=128M" it is expected that you do get
java.lang.OutOfMemeory: PermGenSpace
Stanbol can not provide binary versions of the launchers, as some of
the data for the default configuration (e.g. the Apache OpenNLP
Models) do not fully comply to the Apache License. If you want you can
download binary versions from [2].
