[jira] [Created] (HBASE-22908) Link to HBase 1.x HBase Documentation on HBase Site

Geoffrey Jacoby created HBASE-22908:
---------------------------------------

Summary: Link to HBase 1.x HBase Documentation on HBase Site
                 Key: HBASE-22908
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-22908
             Project: HBase
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: documentation
            Reporter: Geoffrey Jacoby

Some other communities in the Hadoop stack, such as Hadoop itself and ZooKeeper, maintain links to documentation for all of their active branches. (ZooKeeper additionally has an archive to documentation on all their previous releases)

Since I believe the stable pointer is still on HBase 1.x, it's odd that the HBase site does not actually provide a link to documentation for it, only newer releases 2.0 and up.
