[jira] [Created] (INFRA-12614) ASF Google Play account for android
app upload
Ian Dunlop created INFRA-12614:
----------------------------------
Summary: ASF Google Play account for android app upload
Key: INFRA-12614
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-12614
Project: Infrastructure
Issue Type: Task
Components: Other/Misc
Reporter: Ian Dunlop
So that ASF projects can add android apps they have developed to the Google Play store the ASF will need to open the appropriate google account. This will probably be similar to how the ASF handles the account for the Apple app store where certain PMC members are nominated as release managers for the account so they can release apps on behalf of the PMC.
ASF Legal will need to review the Ts&Cs associated with the account.
It is $25 per account so do we want this as an ASF wide account or per PMC? It may be better to start with a single ASF
account managed by infra and then create additional PMC accounts
later if necessary.
